Offered is a antique Wedgwood Boston commemorative plate. This British Staffordshire transferware plate commemorates the 100th anniversary of the House of Jones, McDuffee & Stratton. This rare commemorative plate imprinted Wedgwood was Made in England by Wedgwood Etruria England, Sole Importers John M. Duffee and Stratton, Co. Boston. The back of this plate is as interesting as the front, describing the firm, which was founded by Ortis Norcross, ex Mayor of Boston.
Plate measures approximately 9 3/4" in diameter and is a very pretty antique English piece, no cracks and minor surface scratching.
This is a wonderful Boston souvenir and a wonderful addition to the Wedgwood collection.
