Banco Bench

Originally designed for an outdoor exhibition in Finland called Social Seating, the Banco Bench derives beauty from the simple premise of creating something that enhances the experience of nature.
Shaped for comfort and support, the bench was imagined to enhance the experience of the outdoors. Detailed with gentle curves that underscore the handcrafted feel, it is made from FSC-certified teak which patinates to a beautiful silver-grey hue over time. The bench provides plenty of space and comfort to sit and take in the beauty of nature.

Banco was desogned by Hugo Passos, a contemporary Portuguese designer based in Copenhagen and Porto. With a preference for designing everyday objects and furniture pieces with a touch of the familiar, his work embodies a profound fascination with the human scale of everyday objects and a commitment to the principle that designs “must do what they are supposed to do.”
