Our true Cinnamon Bark for Shrimp, Bettas, and other botanical-loving fish provides amazing textures in the substrate. The shape of the bark creates necessary hiding spaces, and smaller fish love to hide, spawn, and forage amongst it. Our True Cinnamon Bark from Sri Lanka provides valuable tannins, essential oils, and humic substances which condition the water, something we botanical hobbyists have grown to appreciate. Note: this bark does not require preparation. Simply give it a rinse in some water and you can add it directly in. This bag and its contents are biodegradable! Did you know our product packaging is made from renewable and sustainable sugarcane? So just like the botanicals inside, it will compost when returned to nature.

Our cinnamon bark is true Ceylon Cinnamon and not Cassia Cinnamon, meaning it is free of coumarins. The textures of this bark are truly amazing, helping to replicate a forest stream floor by providing shelter and foraging sites for our fish.
