Description: The Flame Hawk is solid red on the body with a black stripe running along its back. The Flame Hawk is very hardy and has a personable personality. This is an attractive fish for both beginner and expert aquarists alike. This peaceful hawkfish can be added to a reef tank as it will not harm any coral; however, as it grows larger, it can prey upon crustaceans. Provide ample rockwork for this fish. Hawkfish do not have a swim bladder, and they need to "rest" on the rock or sandbed when they're not swimming. Provide a varied diet of meaty foods.
